Radioiodine...The Best Solution for Feline Hyperthyroidism

Radioiodine treatment can completely cure hyperthyroidism by destroying only the thyroid tumor. Over 95% of all cats treated never need future treatment. The treatment is simple: a single injection. Your cat will need to stay with us in one of our Hypurrcat facilities for 5 to 10 days post-treatment (required by law), but will receive plenty of love and care. His/her thyroid function should return to normal within 1 to 4 weeks. The radioiodine should not affect normal thyroid tissue and should not cause any harmful side effects.

and the least risky of any of the treatment options"
